Associate researcher
The status of associate researcher can be given to researchers who regularly collaborate and publish with UPR researchers. A charter specifies the conditions of this association.
Visiting researcher
The UPR regularly welcomes visiting researchers, most often from foreign institutions. The precondition for these hosting periods is generally an ongoing collaboration within the framework of a research project, or already established in a more informal way. Visiting researchers often have their own source of funding for their hosting period (grant, exchange program from their institution, etc.). Sometimes, this is financed by one of the laboratory’s research contracts.
External competitive examination for permanent researcher positions
Each year, the CNRS organizes external competitive examinations for researchers (in December) and research engineers (in June). Candidates for the competitive examination who wish to request support from the CIS are invited to contact the management of the CIS as soon as possible and at the latest by the end of November, with a CV and a first version of the research project. Individuals with disabilities can also be recruited by direct contract. Please note that support by research units in the examination process consists of help in writing and revising the application as well as organizing mock interviews at a later stage — Research units do not participate in the recruitment process which is managed at the national level.
