Concealing for Freedom est un ouvrage de Ksenia Ermoshina et Francesca Musiani (CIS-CNRS) écrit dans le cadre du projet de recherche européen NEXTLEAP. L’ouvrage est disponible en accès ouvert depuis le 19 avril 2022. Par ailleurs, les autrices ont rédigé un billet de contextualisation intitulé Encryption and Technologies of Power in a (Cyber-)War Torn World.

Prix

Cet ouvrage a reçu une mention spéciale du Prix Stefano Rodotà 2023 pour la protection des données, délivré par le Committee of Convention 108, Conseil de l’Europe, à l’occasion de la Journée européenne de la protection des données.

Le premier chapitre du livre est issu de l’article « Hiding from Whom? Threat-models and in-the-making encryption technologies » (Intermédialités, no 32, 2019), qui figure parmi les articles récompensés par le prix CNIL-Inria 2019 pour la protection de la vie privée.
